Ruff’D Up BBQ ventured down to Jourdanton Texas for the 36th Annual Jourdanton Volunteer Fire Department BBQ Cookoff. We set up and prepared to let the smoke tell the tale.

We traveled to Uvalde to cook the 4th Annual Makenna Elrod Seiler Memorial Cookoff. Friday night got a little crazy with the South wind, but settled. Saturday started out decent and then the weather got crazy. Drizzle, wind, but everything went well.

Made the trip to Operation Smoke Sheaux in Lafayette, LA. Arrived on Friday at 1pm, set up and met Blake Adams and what a genuine gentleman.
What an awesome cookoff with great promoters and great people. Prepped everything for the next day, even made 2 Pork butts for the public to sample.

Ended up with a couple walks

Got to meet some really awesome people and pitmasters that represent Louisiana. We will definitely go back next year.
