Aloha, As we reopened many new customers arrived finding strange and wonderful items to add to their lives. Things were crawling along and then our central A/C went out and we had to scramble to find fans to circulate the air in the store. Our landlords refuse to contribute to any repairs or restoration of their building and it's facilities, as they are real estate moguls (Amemiya, Matsumoto, etc) speculating on the rail coming down Queen Street. We are looking for strong portable A/Cs to cool the store. If anyone knows of any units for sale or trade, we would appreciate being contacted with offers. In the mean time we will continue to Recycle Cultural Artifacts as long as we can. And we will continue to stir up the pot of analog items into a stew of memory stimulants, hopefully provoking good memories. Mahalo, and looking forward to serving you. Julie and Paké

The owner of Antique Sugar, a vintage clothing store in Phoenix AZ posted a polite friendly sign asking customers to please wear masks. After people kept coming in without masks and arguing with her about the sign she posted this. Fortunately for us most people in Hawaii totally understand the "efficacy of masks".
