Saturday Reflection ✨

What a week… I don’t even have time to tell you all of it, but one thing I can say for sure—God worked it out!

Every challenge, every moment of overwhelm, every situation that didn’t make sense… He handled it. And for that, I am grateful.

Sometimes you don’t need all the answers, you just need faith to know that it’s already being taken care of.

Resting in that today. 🙏🏽

Sunday Reflection ✨

Captivating audiences.

Our students.
Our families.
Even people we’ve never met.

Today was a reminder that what we do reaches far beyond the classroom. When our students step out with confidence, passion, and purpose, they don’t just perform—they impact.

They tell a story.
They represent something bigger.
They reflect the love, guidance, and investment poured into them.

And that’s the beauty of being That Teacher—
what we do doesn’t stay in the classroom… it shows up on stages, in conversations, and in the hearts of others.

Proud. Grateful. Inspired.

Be a part of the movement.
Be That Teacher.

Sunday Reflection ⛪

Today at church, I took a moment to pray for one of my coworkers and her family. It reminded me of something important—you never truly know what someone else is going through.

As teachers, we all carry something. We go through things in life so that we can grow into something greater. But our students don’t need to carry the weight of our struggles.

They need our presence.
They need our patience.
They need our encouragement.

So tomorrow we show up with a smile, the same caring teacher we were yesterday—but even better. Greeting our students with kindness, maybe even a hug or a reassuring word.

Our shoulders are built differently than theirs. We are meant to carry a little more so they don’t have to.

Just as Jesus carries burdens that we cannot, we carry the responsibility to guide and protect the hearts entrusted to us.

Be a part of the movement.
Be That Teacher.

🇺🇸 Monday Reflection | Presidents’ Day

Today is a day off from school for Presidents’ Day — a pause I don’t take lightly.

No alarms.
No bells.
No schedules pulling me in ten directions.

Just space to rest, reflect, and reset.

As that teacher, I understand the importance of leading — but I also understand the importance of stopping. Today is about honoring rest, gratitude, and the freedom to slow down without guilt.

Tomorrow, I’ll return refreshed.
Today, I breathe.

Rest is part of the work.
Reset is part of the calling.

💖 Friday Reflection

Today was full — in the best way.

The day was filled with parties as we celebrated the ones we love most: our students and our coworkers, with an early Valentine’s Day celebration. While parties can be exhausting, they’re also reminders of why we do what we do — connection, joy, and community.

By the end of the school day, we made space for ourselves.

We paused to celebrate February birthdays with coworkers, sharing a meal, some karaoke, and lots of laughter. It was the kind of joy that refills your cup after a long week.

Today reminded me that celebration is just as important as instruction.
That joy belongs in our classrooms and in our lives.
That community makes the hard work lighter.

Tired — yes.
Grateful — absolutely.
Full — in every way.

Happy Friday. 💛

Morning Reflection

Last night ran a little late with my own children — one of those real-life moments that don’t always fit neatly into the schedule.

And while I hate being late for work in the morning… sometimes, it happens.

Parenting doesn’t pause.
Life doesn’t always cooperate.
Grace still applies.

I showed up doing the best I could with what I had — and that counts. Today is a reminder that balance isn’t perfection; it’s adjustment, forgiveness, and moving forward without beating yourself up.

Still committed.
Still present.
Still giving my best.

Onward we go. 💛

Monday Reflection — Testing Day

Today was overwhelming.

Testing days always come with pressure, nerves, and a lot of unknowns. But today became easier because we were able to pray together, and my children knew they were in a safe, familiar environment.

That made all the difference.

We slowed it down.
We reminded ourselves to take one question at a time.
We breathed.
We prayed.

And step by step, we got through it.

Sometimes success isn’t about rushing through the test — it’s about calming the mind, trusting the process, and knowing you’re not alone.

Proud of my kids.
Grateful for faith.
Thankful for progress.

One question at a time. 💛

🌙 Sunday Night Recap

Tonight, I’m choosing rest.

It’s 9:41 PM, and my plan is simple:
Prayer.
A shower.
Sleep.

I’m heading to bed before 11 so I can rise at 4—my normal time—ready, focused, and restored. Tomorrow begins testing, and I know this truth: if I expect my students to give me 100%, I need to show up at 100% too.

Today was full—church, worship, love, and reflection. Now it’s time to reset my mind, calm my spirit, and prepare my heart for what’s ahead.

Rest is not weakness.
Rest is wisdom.
Rest is preparation.

Restore.
Restart.
Reset.

Good night. 🌙
Tomorrow, we show up ready.

⛪ Sunday Reflection — My Favorite Day of the Week

There’s nothing like Sunday.

Today I’m at Christ Worship Center Church, praising the Lord and soaking in His presence. I’m grateful to be planted in a place where faith is alive, love is taught, and truth is spoken.

Today, Pastor Ricky is preaching on Love and Relationships — a timely reminder that how we love, how we forgive, and how we show up for one another matters deeply.

I know without a doubt that God is in my life — guiding my steps, covering my family, and shaping my heart daily.

Refilled in spirit.
Rooted in love.
Ready for the week ahead.

🏡 Saturday Reflections

Today is for taking care of home — and at the same time, thinking forward.

As I reset the house, I’m also resetting my mindset… thinking of new ways to reach my kids, new directions to teach, and new strategies to help each learner grow. Because every child learns differently — and that matters.

We’re preparing for testing on Monday, but more than that, we’re preparing hearts and minds.

Rest. Reflect. Rethink.
Purpose is always in the planning. 💛

Fridays are for art therapy — my favorite part of the week.
My feet were tired today, but my spirit was full.

The work was rewarding.
My feet will heal.
My body will rest.

Purpose makes the tired worth it. 💛
