Custom Dimension Baby Gate – Completed

This custom-built baby gate was designed to keep the customer’s fur baby safely downstairs while maintaining the character of the home. The design features a playful combination of carpenter-style corners and mitered joints, blending strength with visual interest.

Mortise-and-tenon joinery in key areas, paired with concealed hardware, promotes long-term rigidity and durability. Full-length piano hinges were selected to evenly distribute weight and prevent sagging over time.

The elegant yet rustic contrast of redwood and pine ties the piece together beautifully, creating a functional barrier that feels more like fine furniture than a gate.
