The Hot Springs’ Convention Center is happy to announce, we're the first convention center in the world to implement the new VisioLab Self-checkout system powered by artificial intelligence in the brand new Hot Springs Market!

“This great new system, which lets guests purchase food items in our new Hot Springs Market, is a wonderful new amenity that further cements our reputation as the finest convention facility in our region,” said Director of Operations Jennifer Wolcott.

“Its artificial intelligence feature allows folks to simply show their food item to the self-checkout module, pay with a credit or debit card or mobile phone pay method and enjoy their food. VisioLab told us ours is the first convention center in the world to implement this advanced self-checkout amenity for our guests. That’s pretty exciting.”

Visit Hot Springs CEO Steve Arrison said, “This system has been installed in the new Hot Springs Market that is located on the second floor overlooking the Grand Lobby in the Convention Center. Levy, the new food service provider for the Convention Center, has reimagined the former food court and has transformed it into a vibrant space with great food and beverage offerings, both hot and cold.

“The VisioLab system provides maximum flexibility. Its portable system can be freely moved around the venue and adapts to all use cases, from packaged grab ’n’ go to plated hot foods in market concepts.”

Other advantages include recognition of the purchased item without barcodes. AI identifies every item by sight in less than a second. There’s no manual scanning. Also, faster checkouts cut wait times in half, giving guests more time to enjoy.

An employee will always be present at the VisioLab Self Checkout stations when the machines are open. This new system will be more efficient for the customer, but employees will also be present.
