Walled Garden Lace

Skill Level – Easy (Advanced beginner)
Materials Needed
Cotton yarn approx. 82 yards
Needles: 5 mm / US 8 knitting needles
Yarn needle, Measuring tape, Scissors
Abbreviations
K – knit
K2tog – knit the next two stitches together
P – purl
Rep – repeat
RS – right side
SSK – slip, slip, knit
Sts – stitches
WS – wrong side
YO – yarn over
Pattern Instructions

Spa Cloth
Cast on 39 sts.
K 4 rows.
Row 1 (RS): K3 (edge), K1, *SSK, [K1, YO] twice, K1, K2tog, K1; rep from * to last 3 sts, K3 (edge).
Row 2 (WS): K3, P to last 3 sts, K3.
Row 3: K3, K1, *SSK, YO, K3, YO, K2tog, K1; rep from * to last 3 sts, K3.
Row 4: K3, P to last 3 sts, K3.
Row 5: K3, K1, *YO, K1, K2tog, K1, SSK, K1, YO, K1; rep from * to last 3 sts, K3.
Row 6: K3, P to last 3 sts, K3.
Row 7: K3, K1, *K1, YO, K2tog, K1, SSK, YO, K2; rep from * to last 3 sts, K3.
Row 8: K3, P to last 3 sts, K3.
Rep Rows 1–8 until the piece measures 9.5 inches / 24 cm.
K 4 rows. Cast off. Weave in all loose ends. Wet block to shape for best results.
