Basically anytime my friends with kids come over, they have to listen to me tell them how when we bought this house, I was thrilled to have a “grown up” space— and also a casual, kid-friendly space in another part of the house. This room is just right for adult conversation and a little separation from the bustling part of the house, and it looks darn good with a Christmas tree. It doesn’t get used everyday, but just a little “fancy” feels great to me.
