Robot Panda Creations creates and sells personalized signs, wall art, home décor, gifts, and more. In 2012, at the age of 16, Emily had several life-threatening strokes that have left her with some permanent disabilities. In late 2020, after almost eight full years of perseverance and hard work in rehab, Emily & Tonya decided to step away from an outpatient therapy center structure. Being stuck at
home with much time on their hands, they decided to work together to create a business. But what kind of business? Tonya has years of experience with graphic design, and Emily has a lot of creativity and snark. They brainstormed what kinds of things they could create together. What kinds of things would people like to buy? What kind of unique, customizable products would be possible for them to create at home? And, most importantly, they must be products that Emily would be able to be a part of the design process with her limited mobility, vision, and dexterity.
Tonya and Emily came up with Robot Panda Creations. Robot Panda is a character that Emily drew as a teen before her strokes.
