Squirrels & Acorns Reclaimed wood signs, your design or ours! We are the builders and the artists as well! But hey, that's part of the fun.

We are the husband and wife team of David and Donna Medina and started our adventure by salvaging items to furnish and decorate our home over five years ago. It wasn't long before our home became full, but that didn't stop our drive! One day our youngest son chalked up a sign with the words "Squirrels & Acorns". When asked what that was about, he said it represented us, we were the squirrels and o

ur acorns were all of the things that we have rescued and crafted. (Personally we think he was implying we were becoming hoarders!)
We started doing a select couple of shows to lighten our load, but we just can't seem to stop! All of our creations are either refurbished and repurposed or with our signs, made from reclaimed wood and built, hand-cut, then hand-painted. There are no decals, printing, silk-screening done here, it's all brush action and done by hand by us! If you have an inspiration, we would like to try and make it a reality! We are both graphic designers and artists by trade, but enjoy using our skills on weekends to create what makes us smile and perhaps keep some really cool materials out of our landfills!

It is a most rewarding feeling to recycle and reuse to create pieces that you and yours cherish forever. Thanks again for helping all of us stay green.
