20 million tiny spectators got to congratulate us on our proposal, along with some very sweet and very excited volunteers from Bat Conservation International. What a rush it was to hear yes after a weekend full of nerves. Millions of female bats made their nightly emergence from Bracken Cave in a tornado that sounded like a rushing waterfall around us and it was so magical it feels like a hazy dream. Everything went exactly as planned 🦇

Thank you to everyone who let me share my secret for 8 months and kept it for me. Im the absolute worst at keeping surprises but I managed to save this one for the day.

•Kat 🖤 for doing our hair because nails would have been far too suspicious. (We have never gotten our nails done together ever)
• 💀 Brenna Greenwell 💀 for hiding the ring from Madison all weekend and snapping sneaky photos.
• Claudia | Wedding Photographer captured our gorgeous photos and stayed perfectly incognito beforehand.
•Uma Gordin | Engagement Rings made the shiniest, most dainty ring that fits her finger perfectly.
•Odds and Ends Art added a little something special to the ring box (a hand-sculpted bat pin).

I am so lucky to get to spend my life with my best friend, my comfort and joy 🖤

You guys are so dang cute. Ive had such a lovely time with you all this weekend in San Antonio. These are just a couple of the larger frames that found homes this weekend!

I sit down and make things obviously with no particular person in mind and somehow my pieces always seem to find the exact homes they were meant for. I love connecting with you all over nostalgic memories, chats about antiques and all things insect related!

This piece is long gone but I never got around to posting it! Making oddly shaped cloches are my favorite and this was definitely one of the best forms ive come across. Most of the uniquely shaped glass parts I use are from oil lamps, old candle bases or other broken decor items. I used this one to encase an arrangement of yellow roses and a death's head moth.

Going to be posting some older frames and pieces for a bit because my camera roll is FULL of things ive never shared and they all deserve their own little spotlight! 💅

ImAGeneYes knew id love a cup full of brown widows and im so glad he brought me these beauties! The frame, the flowers and the vase ripped from a 1960's arrangement (that had been ruined) are all too perfect together. This frame was originally flat so I constructed a small shadowbox on the back and filled it with some of my favorite wildflowers, hydrangeas from my garden, ferns and two brown widows (latrodectus geometricus) specimens.

This piece has found its home with Faith S🦄 but ill have one more vase frame coming with me to San Antonio very soon!

Ill be back in San Antonio in less than two weeks! This is one of the many bubble glass pieces ill have at my booth. A gorgeous red and gold bordered frame filled with a variety of butterflies, thistle and soft toned flowers. The fabric backing reminds me of antique cabinet cards and gives every frame I use it in some extra dimension and texture!

I have lots of uniquely shaped frames, moody colors and specialty insects headed your way San Antonio! Can't wait to see familiar faces- I know I have lots of long time clients here and I get so excited that you come back to visit me year after year.

Giant Devil's Flower Mantis (Idolomantis Diabolica)

The largest mantis ive pinned to date! This piece found its home last weekend .houston.market but ill have more mantises coming with me to the San Antonio Oddities and Curiosities Expo at the start of next month ❤️
