A home office should be functional, of course. But who says it can’t also be one of the prettiest rooms in the house?
For this one we wrapped the room in a bold botanical wallpaper, layered in warm brass, tailored cabinetry and countertops that create an incredible amount of workspace. Woven shades soften the room and the Vintage rug brings in just the right amount of color.
And then there’s that light fixture Comfort!

As I continue sharing this home, these two powder rooms may be one of my favorite examples of why every room doesn’t need to speak in exactly the same voice.
The formal powder room is all about quiet luxury-deep, textural surfaces, warm brass, sculptural lighting and that beautiful stone counter top. It feels sophisticated, layered and just a little moody.
Then there’s the informal powder room…
We went in the completely opposite direction.
Bold wallpaper, whimsical lighting and a more playful attitude.
It’s unexpected-and that’s exactly why it works.
Good design isn’t about making every room match. It’s about giving each space its own personality while keeping the entire home connected.
And powder rooms? One of my favorite places to take a risk!

Continuing our tour of this recently completed project with the primary bedroom…..
-and this one is all about balance between soft and dramatic.

We redesigned the fireplace and clad it entirely in Calacatta marble,, letting the natural movement of the stone become the statement in the room. Against the softness of the upholstered canopy bed Vanguard Furniture , it adds just the right amount of drama.

A pair of lavender chairs tucked into the windows creates a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy the view-and completes a room designed to feel collected, comfortable and calm.

The kind of bedroom that makes sleeping in on a long weekend sound like a very good idea.

When we designed this primary bath, the goal was to keep the palate soft and sophisticated while still giving the room plenty of personality.

The patterned tile wall tile, became the starting point. Rather than using it as a small accent, we carried it across the entire wall-creating subtle movement and texture and giving the room a real point of view.

From there, we layered in warm taupe cabinetry, marble floors and counter tops, woven shades and brass fixtures to keep the space feeling warm rather than stark.

Sometimes the quietest rooms are all about the details.

Well….this was worth the wait.💙

We’ve been a little quiet around here, but definitely not behind the scenes. I’ve been waiting for the photography from this project to come in, and it finally landed in my inbox.

This room felt like the perfect place to start. Bold color. A great rug. Collected art. A mix of pieces that don’t take themselves too seriously. And a room that feels every bit as comfortable as it is pulled together.

There is SO much more from this project to share, I’ll be rolling out over the next several days.
Consider this a little preview at what’s been keeping us busy at Paisley House.

We’re wrapping up the final punch list on this new build, and I couldn’t resist sharing a few glimpses.
A home where pattern, texture and personality lead the conversation.
From whimsical birds and floral powder rooms to a room full of cattle, every space was designed to have its own personality while still feeling connected to the larger story of the home.
My favorite projects are never about playing it safe. They’re about creating spaces that make people smile, pause and look a little closer.
A huge thank you to our clients for trusting us to bring these ideas to life.
More photography to come once styling is complete.

The formula for styling a large coffee table:

👌🏻Anchor with a tray

🙌🏻 Vary your heights

👍🏻Mix materials (glass, wood, metal)

👌🏻Beautiful books

👏🏻Add one sculptural element

Most of all, leave a little room to breathe. Design is restraint.
