People don’t buy products. They buy trust.

The best marketing isn’t about selling more—it’s about educating, adding value, and building relationships long before someone becomes a customer.

One question I always ask before sharing content is:

“Will someone learn something valuable from this?”

If the answer is yes, the marketing has already succeeded.

That’s one of the reasons I’m continuing to invest in myself by enrolling in the Harvard Business School Online – Digital Marketing Strategy program. No matter how much experience we have, there’s always more to learn.

What a beautiful way to begin my High Point experience.

The VIP dinner at the stunning Eichholtz showroom was such a special evening, made even more memorable with an exclusive tour from Jim and Sara Coyle, followed by the celebration of Corey Damen Jenkins’ collaboration with World of Eichholtz.

Seeing the collection up close and learning more about the inspiration behind it was a real highlight. The theme, Jewelry for the Modern Interior, felt exactly right. From the showroom design to the conversations, dinner, and thoughtful details throughout the night, everything was beautifully curated. Receiving Corey’s latest book was the perfect finishing touch.

I truly enjoy experiences like this because I love to learn, grow, and keep stretching myself. I believe that if I am not better than I was the day before, then I have not achieved the minimum goal I set for myself. Every bit of inspiration and insight I gain ultimately helps me serve better, think better, and bring more value back to my Floor & Decor Design Studio team.

Day 1 at NKBA KBIS Leader2Leader in Orlando was nothing short of inspiring.

From a fantastic breakfast and reconnecting with interior designers from across North America and Canada, to impactful keynote sessions — especially from Chip Wade — the energy in the room was powerful and forward-focused.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was NKBA, led by Bill Darcy, presenting a $50,000 check to support the Skilled Labor Fund — a strong statement about investing in the future of our industry.

We also celebrated the Chapter Star Awards (proud moment for our chapter!) and wrapped up the day with collaborative breakout sessions focused on strengthening membership, communications, leadership, and chapter growth nationwide.

Grateful for NKBA leadership and all the sponsors who make events like this possible.

Now getting ready for the Design Awards tonight — and tomorrow, KBIS officially begins!
