☀️🌵 Heat Wave Coming? Your Succulents Need a Little Extra Care! 🌵☀️

With temperatures climbing into the 100s, here are a few simple tips to help keep your succulents looking their best.

💧 Water Early in the Morning
Water before the heat of the day so the roots have time to absorb moisture before it evaporates.

🪴 Check the Soil First
Only water when the soil is dry. Succulents don't like sitting in wet soil, but they may need water a little more often during extreme heat.

☂️ Protect from Intense Afternoon Sun
If your succulents are in pots, move them to a spot with afternoon shade. For plants in the ground, consider using shade cloth during the hottest part of the day.

🔥 Watch for Signs of Heat Stress
Wrinkled leaves, sunburn spots, or drooping can all be signs your plants need a little extra attention.

🌬️ Don't Repot During Extreme Heat
Wait until temperatures cool down to avoid putting additional stress on your plants.

🏺 Potted Plants Dry Out Faster
Containers can heat up quickly, so be sure to check them more often than plants growing in the ground.

🌿 Nursery Hours During Extreme Heat
For the safety of our customers, staff, and plants, we will close early on days when temperatures are expected to exceed 100°F. We'll post any changes to our hours on our social media pages, so be sure to check before heading out.
