We swapped scattered, formal seating for a sculptural bouclé sectional built for sinking in and facing each other, anchored by a plush statement rug. The baby grand stayed as the room’s soul. Everything around it was elevated to match.

We could’ve gone with a “safe” rectangular table. We didn’t. Because at FDG, seating arrangements are where we get to play. Mixing curves, textures, and scale until a room feels collected rather than decorated. This is what “getting creative with seating” actually looks like.
