Many of you know my Mom is my logo for my business. She was fearless, she was strong & sometimes a little bulldog. She was an immigrant. My brother, sister & I are 1st generation citizens. My parents were very proud to be Americans.
As many many other immigrants do, my mom sent home money, clothes, electronics, books, whatever her family needed.
She was the person that took me to the garment district in LA. Usually before a trip or before a family member would be going back to her beloved Peru we would go shopping. She took out her Thomas Guide, pick out the route, park and we would walk into what to me looked like a bazaar. People would say,”Hola Señora Orbegoso”! Que vas a comprar ahora”
She would either buy a piece of luggage there and fill it up with clothes or already had purchased luggage prior so she knew how much to buy.
My first introduction to buying trips, it’s a different world in LA, lively, colorful, beautiful, endless.
Praying for all those that had to endure such unnecessary pain yesterday. What is happening is all I can think.
Yesterday I was going to go to LA for fabrics for a job that I am bidding. Downtown LA, the place I’ve been going to since I was 10 or 11 years old. My Mom would be so disgusted by what happened in LA. 💙💙💙💙
