Using advanced Teledyne FLIR thermal imaging cameras allows for the precise detection of hidden hazards before they escalate. A recent diagnostic call revealed a severe hotspot behind a kitchen cabinet wall caused by a failing electrical connection.

The Diagnostic & Repair Process:
Inspection: Thermal scanning identified an active, unsafe temperature spike within the wall cavity.

The Cause: Upon removal, a loose wire connection was found to have caused extreme electrical resistance, completely melting the plastic device box and charring the outlet terminal screw.

The Remedy: The hazardous box and damaged duplex receptacle were extracted. Conductors were cleaned and treated with Ideal Noalox anti-oxidant joint compound to protect against future degradation and ensure a highly conductive, reliable connection.

The Result: A brand-new, code-compliant commercial-grade receptacle and wall plate were installed.

Verification: A post-repair thermal scan verified the circuit is now operating at a safe, cool baseline under load.
