🐓Our rescued-from-the-sidewalk-on-the-square chicken 🐔 is doing much better out of the heat and drinking lots of water 💦. She’s clucking and walking around in Ozzy’s playpen 😊. And best of all someone is coming to pick her up!! Hooray! 🥳

UPDATE! Once she cooled off and drank some water she seemed right as rain and a local farmer came to pick her up 😊🐓

🚨🐔 HUNTSVILLE — DOES ANYONE NEED A CHICKEN?! 🐔🚨

We just found this poor chicken outside Make It Place on the Square. It has an injury on its back, and we honestly wonder if it may have fallen off a truck. 😳 It’s a BIG meat bird.

We need someone who can come get it ASAP — preferably within the next hour or so!

I cannot take it home because I have two bird-hunting dogs who would consider this a delivery order 😬, and my husband has made it quite clear that he is not volunteering for chicken-processing duty today. 😂

So… would anyone like to save this chicken? Or, um… eat this chicken? We are not judging. At this point, we just need someone equipped to take care of it appropriately. 🐔

According to Ozzy… I needed help updating the coffee menu. 🐾☕️

I was working on our coffee menu pages today when my 4.5-pound assistant walked across my keyboard and contributed the very important tasting note as you can see here... 😂😂😂

Fortunately, Ozzy’s editing skills are NOT the big news.

I ordered TEN new Intelligentsia coffees for the Make It Place Café today!! 🎉☕️ That brings our pour-over collection to 26 different coffees—from smooth, familiar blends to some really interesting single-origin and seasonal coffees from around the world.

And since apparently we now need a small novel to hold the coffee menu, I’m reorganizing our menu book into chapters by roast—from Light all the way to Dark—so it’ll be easy to find exactly the kind of cup you love.

The new coffees are on their way. I’ll introduce you to them soon… assuming Ozzy stays off the keyboard. 🐾😆

Today we made our Saturday Coffee Slushie with El Gato blend… it’s rich & creamy with that just-right-sweetness 🥰

Open until 4pm today, on the Square in Huntsville- just look for the pink awning!! PLUS, loads of our name brand consignment clothing has been marked down just this morning to ONE DOLLAR 💵😱…. The earlier you come in, the better the pickings….

Hey everybody!! Get this NEW Fall Festival on your calendars now 👻. How cool is it that we’re getting an amazing new event right here in our County Seat?!

The Crossroads Lore & Legend Festival: Haunts in the Hollow is coming to the Huntsville Square on October 23 from 4–8 PM—with an evening built around history, folklore and the paranormal. 👻🍂

I absolutely LOVE the idea of celebrating the stories, legends and maybe even a few ghosts 👀 that make our little corner of Arkansas so interesting.

And can we talk about that tagline?

“Every town has its stories. Some refuse to stay buried.”

Okay, Huntsville… you have my attention. 😂
