Reflecting on yesterday on my porch this morning and I am SPEECHLESS😭 (If you know me, you know that’s hard to do😂)
I have nothing to give away this week because you all SOLD ME OUT yesterday🫶🏻😭
There’s nothing quite like your first sellout moment - watching something that began as a small dream become more than you ever thought possible. You spend hours creating something from scratch, hoping people will love it - and then suddenly, every last item is gone. It’s equal parts disbelief, gratitude, and excitement.
To me, handmade food feels personal; it’s like opening a small piece of your home/kitchen and sharing it with others, which can be both vulnerable and nerve-racking. Seeing customers enjoy your food and come back for more makes all the hard work worth it. More than anything, it leaves you feeling deeply grateful that something made with so much care found its way to so many people.
Do you know how absolutely incredible it feels to hear you come to my booth and say “So-and-so sent me here”, “I was told to find the cookie lady at the farmers market”, “My friend told me to come pick this up for her this week because she’s gone today and didn’t want to miss it”? LIKE WHAT!!
To clarify - you all sold me out of all 150+ fresh baked bread, gourmet cookies, and other cookies treats. I still had several pantry items, but I bring a whole grocery aisle (which I still sold probably 1/3 of!!), so I’d probably simply cease to function if you sold me out of absolutely everything. I would be completely floored😳
If you’ve read to this point, you’re amazing. Thank you for being here. I am so grateful. 🥲🫶🏻
