Confessions of a Flipper 🎨

After 14 years of flipping furniture, I've learned one VERY valuable lesson… sometimes the most money is made when you do the LEAST! 🤷‍♀️

Not every piece needs a dramatic makeover. Sometimes a little love, a good cleaning, and knowing when to put the paintbrush DOWN is where the profit is! 💰

Well, the verdict is in... and sometimes the best makeover is knowing when to leave well enough alone! 🤣👏

This gorgeous green bed already had the color AND the character, so instead of giving her a whole new personality, I gave her a little TLC!

A good scuff sanding, a fresh clear coat, and she's ready for her next home! 😍

Because here's your friendly reminder: Just because I didn't change the color doesn't mean I didn't put in the work! 😉

And can we talk about those POSTS?! She's got a little drama, a little vintage charm, and a whole lot of personality!

MAKE IT or LEAVE IT?! 👀🖌️

Well, this time I chose to LEAVE IT! 💚

But here's the funny thing about furniture flipping...even when I decide NOT to change something, it STILL requires work! 🤣🤦‍♀️

This beauty was already green, and I loved her just the way she was! So instead of a complete makeover, I gave her a good scuff sanding and a fresh clear coat to protect that gorgeous finish.

Because apparently, even when I choose the easy route, there's still sanding involved. 🙄😂

Sometimes the best makeover is knowing when to leave well enough alone!

Welcome to MAKE IT OR LEAVE IT! 🎨

This table was originally a LEAVE IT. I cleaned it up, embraced the wood, took it to The WAREhouse…and waited.

And waited. 😂

Apparently, the people have spoken. LEAVE IT wasn’t working.

So back home it came, and this time we went with MAKE IT! 💚 A little green paint later and she’s getting a second chance at finding her person.

Sometimes the furniture tells you what it needs. Sometimes it sits at the store unsold until you finally get the hint. 🤣

So what do you think—should I have left it, or was MAKE IT the right call?! 👇
