Nothing does justice to a tastefully decorated room than still photos so here they are. The last photo is my favorite 💙 I love leaving a little something personalized, something unique to the person the room belongs to in all my designs. The ‘World of Vocab’ art in the last photo is that little piece of personalized art for the little person who this room belongs to ☺️

Happy Tuesday! This was my very first project in our house, and mood board almost 5 years ago. She’s growing up and is ready for a big girl room so I figured I’d take pictures and share them before I start from scratch. Though, tbh, I’m trying to buy myself time and keep her in that toddler bed for as long as I can, and give her the big girl room sometime next year🫣

Last day today at and I wouldn’t be doing justice to the hotel if I left without sharing the amazing architect/interiors of this hotel. They’ve nailed the whole ocean themed look with its crisp white paint on the outside, beautiful shades of emeralds, blues, and sand color inside, wood paneling on the columns, and those coral reef and jelly fish pendant lights.
Especially the wave like architectural details on the ceiling of the main lobby reminded me of the at the World Trade Center.

Built-ins are a beautiful spot to showcase your collectibles and all things pretty. However, they can also quickly turn into a place where everything gets dumped. Give them a purpose by decorating them with beautiful and functional decor items. And, as far as the clutter is concerned, well, try to keep that to a minimum and hide what you can’t get rid of in cabinets and drawers.

A few ways to decorate built-ins for kids:
◽️Faux plants
◽️Their favorite books
◽️Family pictures
◽️A clock (really for the parents than them but they’ll eventually learn to read the clock too)
◽️A keepsake box (everyone has something they want to save and keep for forever ☺️)
◽️Animal figurines
◽️Stuffed toys (if they go with the entire look)
◽️Other decor items
