It's been over 20 years of reading fantasy books, and I have finally read a Terry Pratchett book (not counting Good Omens because it's co-authored). Guards! Guards! is funny and fast-paced. It's irreverent and witty and doesn't take itself too seriously and is everything I want in a palate cleanser. I can't wait to read the rest of Discworld.

Fantasy romance? Check. Grumpy/sunshine? Check. ONLY ONE BED LEFT??? CHECK! Tusk Love was absolutely amazing. I don't have the space to put my whole review in the description but just epically beautiful and funny and sexy. Thea Guanzon did an amazing job with the writing. Teddy Hamilton and Brittany Presley were the best choices for non-CR narrators. I absolutely loved this.

It's the third month of the year and I have just finished my third q***r ecological body horror romance (yeah that's a mouthful) and each one has been absolutely fantastic. A Botanical Daughter is definitely more cozy than Don't Let the Forest In or Hazelthorn and would be a great starter book for body horror. This book lives in my veins now.

This started off rough. I struggled to get into it for the first 50 pages and soft DNF'd it twice before forcing myself to get to page 100 when it really grabbed my attention and I didn't put it down until I finished it. I only gave it 4 stars because of the slow start; otherwise it would have been a 5 star read.

Do you need a fantasy novella in your life with curses and deals and tricksy fae vs tricksy humans? Sure you do!! The Summer War by Naomi Novik is just that. It has gorgeous prose and engaging characters with a smart and cunning Celia as the lead. Novik is generally an auto-buy for me and an instant 5 star read and this one was no different. March has flown by. I can't believe this is the last full week which means this is my second to last check-in for the month. This week saw me in a bit of a slump up until the weekend when I finished 3 books. This brings my total to 12 books and 1 DNF for March so far. Not my best month but not my worst either.
