If you are a business owner in Duke Energy Indiana territory and have been considering converting from fluorescent or HID lighting to LED, now is the time. Duke has increased the incentive/rebates for this conversion. With the requested increases to the cost of each kilowatt of electricity usage, converting to LED is more cost efficient than ever.
Plus, as I have said before, regardless of your stance on Climate Change, using less energy makes sense😎
GHS Green Lighting provides FREE Lighting Evaluations and can provide LED lighting only, for your own electrician to install or we can provide a turn-key lighting and installation environment.

Whatever your position on ‘Global Warming’ and the impact of humans, you can lower your carbon footprint and reduce your electricity usage by upgrading to LED LIGHTING. One change that can show significant results in both areas is upgrading your outside lighting for your business. The cost of LED parking Lot lighting has decreased dramatically in the past few years. In combination with Incentives from local Electric Utilities, like AES-IPL and Duke, your Return on Investment can be under 2 years, including installation! This is now applicable to facilities that have lower wattage fixtures like 250 watts. While many locations with higher wattage fixtures have upgraded to LED, lower wattage locations have remained with High Pressure Sodium or Metal Halide lighting believing that conversion to LED was not fiscally responsible. GHS GREEN LIGHTING can do a FREE lighting survey to show the specific savings for your facility for electricity expense and reduction in your carbon footprint.
This savings is often overlooked by business owners who lease a location, but are directly billed for outdoor lighting electricity usage. GHS GREEN LIGHTING can work with the facility owner to help them see the long term advantage for their property. The lessee receives lower electric bills and the property owner receives increase property value and Utility Incentives.

LED LIGHTING FOR YOUR HOME
While GHS Green Lighting deals with Commercial and Industrial LED Lighting, Leds are also the best lighting for your home. This is true regardless of the type of light fixtures you have in your home. If you have fixtures that take any type of incandescent bulb, you can just replace it with an LED of the same type. It is important with LEDs that you pay attention to the Kelvin temperature of the bulb. This number ranges from stark white to soft white, which is almost a dull yellow. Usually, I would recommend 3500 to 4000K in most home uses, however your preference is what matters. Home LEDs are now close to the cost of incandescent bulbs and save around 75% energy usage.
Since we don’t often leave home lights on continually, the savings that show up on your bill won’t seem significant, but you are reducing your carbon footprint and reducing demand.

LED LIGHTING and Your Business

GHS Green Lighting is in a unique position to help your business reduce electrical costs for lighting. Depending on what you do, manufacturing, office etc. the overall percentage of your electricity costs can vary from 15% to 45%. What puts GHS Green Lighting in a unique position is our ability to offer both fixture replacements and retrofitting of almost any fixture with industry leading high output products.
LED savings are directly connected to the amount of electric used to produce a specified amount of light, a Lumen. The Lighting industry as a whole have significantly improved in this area over the last couple of years. The current average Lumen per watt of energy used is around 140 LPW. We offer products averaging around 170 LPW, resulting in a 20% savings in electricity costs for the same light output. This additional light output, often allows GHS Green Lighting to reduce the amount of fixtures needed to achieve the requested light output at work level, foot candles.
GHS Green Lighting will work with you to determine the OSHA/IES recommended light output, foot candles, for your unique work environment.
We can also provide installation if desired.
Finally, we will determine if your business qualifies for a Utility Rebate/Incentive and we will process all paperwork required from your electrical provider.
