This is a post I never wanted to have to write. 🤍
After a lot of thought, a lot of tears, and some very difficult conversations, we have made the incredibly hard decision to close Cozy Abode.
For the past two years, this little store has been so much more than a business to me. It was a dream I was brave enough to chase, and I will forever be grateful that I did.
Unfortunately, the reality is that we simply haven’t had enough consistent business to continue keeping our doors open. As heartbreaking as that is to admit, I also know how lucky I am to have had the opportunity to try.
To every single person who walked through our doors, made a purchase, placed an order, shared a post, told a friend about us, trusted me with a custom piece or an event, or simply stopped in to say hello — thank you. Truly. Every bit of support meant more than you probably ever realized.
Owning a small business has taught me more than I could ever put into words. There were beautiful days, really hard days, long nights, lessons learned, friendships made, and so many moments I will always carry with me.
Of course I wish this chapter were ending differently, but I will never regret opening the doors in the first place. I got to take an idea that lived in my head and turn it into something real. I got to say I chased a dream and that is something I will always be proud of.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for giving Cozy Abode a chance, for supporting this little dream of mine, and for being part of the last two years. 🤍
We aren’t quite saying goodbye yet. We will be sharing details soon about our final weeks, store closing sales, and our official last day.
