❤️ Gathering with people of all ages and filling rooms with love and laughter is a good reminder that there are more humans choosing love and acceptance than there are those choosing hate.

We loved hosting the team yesterday. I can’t wait to see all of the heart lawn signs filling the town!

I can’t tell you how many people think they aren’t creative or can’t do art. Guys, it’s that you feel you aren’t GOOD enough to make art or create things. You know what I have to say to that? WHO CARES! Making feels good. Giving a handmade creation feels so rewarding, whether it looks like you imagined it would or not. Take these prints as an example. I (Alice, owner of salt) am not a printmaker! I am a trained Graphic Designer and Photographer. I even have my MFA but guess what? I kind of stink at printmaking right now. I am proud of my bunny…I’m obsessed with bunnies. But I just can’t get the ombré ink to lay down well. I am good with plain black but this is a new challenge. And I’m still learning. Guys…the joy in art and making is the part where you are doing it. Every single person can do it. Every person is capable of creating. Every person is NOT going to make a masterpiece every single time but…since when is that the point? Kids make because they love doing it. They draw scribbles for hours and then totally forget about their work. Let’s do more of that. Let’s stop trying to make perfect things and just make.
