With mixed emotions, after 28 years in our Isanti log cabin, we moved our lives to an equally charming, but much smaller one level log home on an undeveloped lake in the Brainerd area. Much of our belongings remain in storage as we build a garage/shop/guest quarters building on our property. The shell is almost complete and the concrete was poured this week! We kept the best of our rustic antiques, Don's hand carved spoons and Patty's wool sculpture with hopes of reopening our shop in the spring of 2026 in our new community. In the mean time, Patty is still baking and taking special orders for her blueberry white chocolate scones for pick up if you are passing through the Deerwood area. She needs at least 2 days notice and we sell them by the dozen ($24). Reach out on messenger anytime if you would like to make an order!!

Our storybook log home on 7.8 acres will officially be on the market for $599k this Thursday with an open house from 3-6pm. We have loved every minute here and are grateful to all of our loyal customers! The house has 4 bedrooms (2 suites with fireplaces and full baths), 4 bathrooms, 3 fireplaces and 3 porches: (4 season, screen porch and open porch). Starting my fourth year of carving spoons...this is my best effort to date! Here is an 11" serving spoon
My neighbor just cut down a tree. It is some kind of walnut, it's not as dark as the black walnut I have had in the past, but it is very beautiful!☺️

Patty will be at the Nash Lake Fiber Farm this Saturday 12 - 4 with our spoons, wool sculpture, soap, knitting, home canning and our pepparkakor cookies along with some other great vendors. There will also be horse drawn wagon rides in their beautiful setting!! Looking forward to a fun afternoon!
