Intro to Mosaic Crochet!

Join Alyssa and you learn a new crochet color work technique that allows you to use one color at a time! We will be making little coasters that have a graphic print on them and in doing so we will learn the basics of mosaic crochet as well as how to read a chart! In our Fixing Mistakes class, let Nifty Knitter teacher Morgan take some stress out of your knitting by guiding you through fixes for the most common knitting mistakes.

In this class you will learn how to "tink" and "frog" back, pickup dropped stitches, and re-orient the stitches on your needles to that you may correct your mistakes without ripping out the entire project.

If you have had some practice knitting in the round and would love to begin a new adventure, color work is always a great idea! In this two week class, Keeley will guide you through the basics of color theory, chart reading, and of course the all-important color work techniques.

Knit a hat, a cowl, or both! You can choose to work from the Volant Cowl by Natalie Bullock or from two rather lovely patterns designed by Keeley with new color work knitters in mind: The Caramel Dot Cowl or the Half Dot Hat. The tricky part will be choosing your colors!

We’re so happy to welcome D’Jangle Arts for a special trunk show during LYS Day weekend!

These beautiful handmade stitch markers and row counters are like jewelry for your needles, full of charm, color, and delightful detail. Created with materials like Czech glass, ceramic, metal, gemstones, and even repurposed vintage jewelry!
