Pottery by Gary Rith There are a lot of boring pots out there, why not have some fun? https://www.etsy.com/shop/Rith In 1985 Gary was Dean White's apprentice in upstate NY.

Gary Rith began making pottery in 1983 as a ceramics major at Bennington College. After several years of teaching, including stints at the University of Illinois-Chicago Craft Shop and Cushing Academy, in 1997 he set up his first studio in New Hampshire and began making pots full-time. In 2006 he moved to the Ithaca, NY area, opened a new studio and taught at the Cornell University Ceramics Studio until it closed in 2011. 30 plus years, still going strong, making something new everyday!

You will be remembering that Sunday October 25 we have the Mushroom Market (a festival of arts and magic, it is Huge!) at Star Tree Studio. I will be there that day But today my dog Cookie and myself will also be at Star Tree this afternoon 1-5. AND LOOK what came out of my kiln yesterday, a cheerful little dragon sitting atop mushrooms sculpture that I made. Beyond groovy, isn’t it!

Tried a new glaze combo on my pots in a kiln firing yesterday and yowza! Was very happy to pull these out just now :)
