This month marks ONE YEAR of MIMZ Vintage Corner. ❤️
A whole year!!!
When I started this little adventure last September, I really had no idea where it would take me. I just knew I loved finding things, decorating a booth, sharing treasures with other people, and creating something that felt like mine.
In January, I became a vendor in Williamsburg Vendors Mall, and Sarah has been wonderful to work with and is truly great at what she does.
Then in May, I joined The Vendor Village here in Campbell County.
And now, one year into MIMZ Vintage Corner, I can honestly say I feel like I have found the places where I fit best. ❤️
The name The Vendor Village has also come to mean something very special to me, because it really does take a village.
When you’re a small business owner, you pour so much of yourself into what you do. Your time, your money, your creativity, your energy, and sometimes even your livelihood are sitting inside that booth.
Then you walk away and leave it in someone else’s hands.
That takes trust.
A whole lot of trust.
I can honestly say I trust the girls who own and run The Vendor Village and Sarah at Williamsburg with everything in my soul, and I don’t say that lightly.
There is such a comfort in knowing that when I’m not there, my booth is being cared for, my inventory is being watched over, and my little business matters to someone besides me.
And that is what a village really is.
Its owners, vendors, customers, friends, and small business owners all connected.
We cheer each other on. We celebrate each other’s sales. We help one another, share ideas, laugh together, and sometimes remind each other why we started doing this in the first place.
As I celebrate ONE YEAR of MIMZ Vintage Corner, I also want to say thank you to every single person who has shopped my booth, shared one of my posts, told a friend about me, stopped to look around, or supported this little business in any way.
Every purchase matters more than you probably realize.
And I hope you’ll continue to come out and support small businesses right here in Campbell County.
There are 70+ vendors at each of The Vendor Village and Williamsburg behind every booth is a real person.
A family.
A dream.
A hobby.
A side income.
And sometimes income that helps pay the bills and provide for a family.
Most of us aren’t doing this because we think we’re going to get rich.
We do it because we love it.
We love finding things, making things, creating things, decorating our booths, visiting with customers, and watching someone light up when they find something they love.
But that $5, $10, or $20 purchase still matters.
When you shop small, you’re supporting your neighbors. You’re supporting families. You’re supporting dreams.
And you’re supporting people right in your own community.
One year into MIMZ Vintage Corner, I’m still learning, still growing, still having fun, and most importantly, I feel like I’ve found where I belong.
