Yesterday was our last full day in Živogošće. Since we knew we had a full travel day today we decided for a relaxed day. First coffee along the Adriatic. Then swimming with the fishes again (my husband and his impressive underwater camera skills (sarcasm) lol. After that we started packing and had a late dinner at one of our faves here. This morning we packed up. Headed to Gradac and walked around the sleepy town (this weekend is their countries independence day celebration so it’s going to get insanely busy. Also Croatia is in the middle of a heat wave. The beaches are gonna be crazy. We have literally had all these places to ourselves and everything felt like a private oasis! We feel so lucky. Now we are in Cavtat and going to walk around town and get dinner before we prepare for the long travel flight day tomorrow.

We have been trying to decide how we spend our last few days here. We decided to walk the cliff edges along the ocean until we got to the nudist beach 😆 Then back for swim in the Adriatic. So clear you can just swim with the fishies!! Later we walked the mile and a half to the town across from our Airbnb and had the most amazing dinner. We for sure are walking back there tonight. I don’t know what we are going to do when we get home and cant just “walk” to everything!

Yesterday and the day before have kind of melted together. Our last day in Brodarica we spent hiking the cliff edge and then having a beach day. After that, we walked to the local store and got stuff to make our own dinner at home. We watched the sunset and got up the next day to drive to our next Airbnb. We drove the entire coast from there down Zivogosce with a stop in Trogir. Like I have said before we have driven many mountain cliffs, but these steep grades 90° pivot turns and cliff edges are not for the faint of heart. You go from full mountain to sea level in about three switchbacks per minute lol. Getting to our Airbnb and this view made up for any stress on the road. Now to figure out what we’re going to do today. I guess we’re just gonna let the Day lead us where it wants us to be.

Its funny. Literally 15 minutes before this, I had said to Russ “I can’t believe I haven’t cried yet!” @( I always get ao overwhelmed with joy that something usually triggers it) Then. As we were sitting on the Adriatic Sea eating dinner along the Dalmatian coast…
I spotted three dolphins playing in the ocean. The kids screaming Delfineeee
🐬 the beautiful mountains and amazing dinner That did it. I started bawling. I never in my life imagined I would be here.

One of our favorite things is hiking national parks. We had planned to hit a couple while here but that just didn’t work with our schedule and didn’t want to be driving hours and hours just to say we went somewhere. So when i picked this airbnb it was because not only was it a beautiful location, but also only 15 minutes from KRKA national Park. We took the insane 15 minute drive through the mountains and switchbacks and got to the entrance where you park your car and take a boat in to the park. An absolutely beautiful trip. We did the park and saw the most amazing waterfalls and scenery. Then hopped back on the boat back to the car and headed back. Then we jump to the ferry to go over to the island to get a cup of coffee. Came back and found this beautiful trail along the Adriatic . Then off to dinner at the most amazing Konoba. I slept like a log last night. And today will be a lazy beach day before we move to our next location tomorrow.

Slowly recovering this morning from the day we has yesterday! We should have known when the GPS tried to put us up an alley first thing for our 5 hour drive from Montenegro up to Broderica Croatia. It really got more chaotic from there on 😆. From my ring camera going off on my watch across the world from an insurance adjuster as we are doing 120 kilometers per hour and yelling through the doorbell through the middle of a mountain. To people pushing you to do 150 kilometers per hour on winding cliffs; people were not kidding about the driving here. We have driven across the country all the way through Teton Pass…continental divide and Winding mountain cliffs to southern Utah and nothing prepares you for this 😆 Lets just say. We were happy to get here and sit and stare across to Krapanj from our airbnb and walk to the local market and grab charcuterie items. A bottle of wine and some fresh baked bread 🥖 to go with the gift of homemade olive oil and all our cares disappeared. I think ill have another cup of coffee before we decide what we are doing today 😊
