Harvested the first strawberry today! More are coming but this one couldn't wait for that. I'm also excited to see the cauliflower growing. When I noticed it at first the head was small bouncy ball size, I'm thinking golf ball now but don't want to disturb it much. Many thanks to a 'hood hubby for mowing today

Two of my recent cayenne pepper up-pots had tiny peppers. They and any flowers were picked off so we can focus on growth. My strawberries are starting to ripen! Pretty sure my black petunias are a dud and I'll try again next year #

Love it when I can learn new things from others! This year one of the happy place crew introduced us to these plant hoops. Basically they're flexible tent poles and they are absoforkinloutely amazefookinballs!! As you can see they work well in a raised bed as well as your traditional garden. The other thing I accomplished was getting 16 pepper and one tomato plant mulched. I'll grab compost tomorrow so I can finish potting.

It might not be the best but at $2.50 a bag I'm not caring! Plus I customize any potting soil I use with compost and coco coir. I'm also down to not much needs potted

Actually at my house I'm not doing to bad. Now happy place can be a whole new ballgame!! My strawberries and blueberries are the only things planted actually in the ground. The rest of my jungle is raised beds and grow bags. The weeds are easier to keep out of those. Honestly I don't mind weeding, it's a great reliever of frustrations!!

I actually moved pepper plants when I got home tonight to take advantage of the rain! Really need to get my rain barrels done...(Disclaimer that's not me in the pic)

If you're local to me I highly recommend getting in on their pastas!! I had the pleasure of meeting them during my market days and now at my happy place!

Today I learned a valuable lesson, a corded drill is much better for mixing soil. Luckily I had one as I fried my cordless one and bonus it wasn't super expensive! The peppers though are DONE!! Believe I am down to 10 or less plants still needing up-potted. I will need to grab another round of compost and hopefully my last bag of promix.

I wanted to plant this weekend but my coco coir is still in delivery limbo. Rest of the jungle looks amazing. Apparently I am the official crazy plant lady of our 'hood! I'm ok with that
