This pretty in pink mid-century Compac (a Japanese made machine with a Brother motor) sewing machine is up in the booth. This one was fun to clean up! The cabinet was in fairly rough shape, so it just had to have a refresh to go along with the chrome accents on the machine. It sews beautifully!

A couple of fun new things in my booth upstairs at Refindary Vintage Market.
First— this Martha Washington sewing cabinet is unique, I’ve yet to see a bottom “drawer” that opens like this. The side pockets also seem like they’re soft close; I haven’t seen a Martha cabinet that has that before. Maybe it’s just the vintage hinges, but either way they work beautifully and the pocket lids won’t harm any fingers! 😄
Next — these fun collages made from mail order sewing patterns from the 50s. The patterns were unusable, so I thought they’d be perfect to make collages. My favorite is the flower transfer.
There are new (unused vintage) notions and vintage linens as well.
As always every booth at Refindary is bursting with vintage finds, there’s something for everyone!

Thought it would be fun to show this lovely machine sewing; this Singer model 27 is in my booth at Refindary Vintage Market. Manufactured in August 1905 it is almost 120 years old!

Lots of new, old treasures in the booth today! This beautiful 1905 Singer Model 27 treadle is now at the Refindary Vintage Market, booth 13. The machine and the ornate cabinet are in remarkable shape for almost 120 years old.
I also brought so many fun accessories in today; the booth is full of vintage sewing notions and machines.

My booth (number 13) is ready for Spring.. and St Patty’s Day ☘️ and Easter 🐰! The Spring Open House is tomorrow (Saturday March 2nd) at the Refindary Vintage Market and the whole shop is alive with vibrant Spring colors!
