So the Hurricane made the waves big in Southern Calif.
This place called “The Wedge “ in the beautiful very Wealthy area@of Newport Beach .

BY FAR it is the most hardiest, dangerous , scariest, gnarliest,brutal, harry, deadly wave on the West Coast and next to the Pipeline in Hawaii is the worst place to get hit by a wave.

Since the 50s it has been Notorious for breaking bones necks, backs as the place is shallow. All that energy funnels to this jetty and A Frames of a giant mountain wave breaking on 2-4 feet of water often15- 20 feet tall.

Today was 6-12 foot by all means not a Bunny Slope it black diamond.

While today was small by the time we got there it still had a “punch”. You are suppose to have swim fins to swim there.

I went out down the beach where it was more mellow but not really . I didn’t swim out ( without fins) to where the large waves were but stayed close to the beach as I didn’t want to get sucked out to what we call the IMPACT ZONE and be forced to control your breathing and duck under the large waves one after another .

Nevertheless it was good to get in the water and to be able to be posting tonight !!

There is t one that has this Quatrefoil
pulls nor the thickness of the handles in the size.

I searched about 30 on 1st dibs and Chairish then gave up.

My friend who had 17 magazines said it’s the best she has seen and same with me.

Sometimes you have to sell one of your favorite pieces to find a new friend/ person.

The painting of the large girl is by Carol Crain , a Chicago Art Institute student who trained with all the Hungarian Master art teachers mid 20c there .

She donated $250,000 to the institute moved to Calif and passed away , the Storage War guys got her estate and put it out at all the LA flee Markets. All the top dealers in LA savaged thru and about it all. . Somehow they missed this one that came to me in SD

Grey Benko studied at that same school .

Having been a fashion model in the day in Japan Ropongi I couldn’t help but to photograph her.

She also was a Fashion Photographer and did Ad Campaigns then with her talent turned to Interiors.

Gray Benko is a maximalist interior designer, photographer, and Magnolia Network television star known for her vibrant, color-drenched renovations in South Carolina.

• Anything But Gray (2025-Present): Following her previous show, Gray launched this Charleston-based series focusing purely on bold, personality-driven home makeovers alongside her design partner Checie Eastman and her contractor dad.

Fate prevailed and she met me at the Jeckell island Antique show put on by Braderie South( my favorite show promoter worldwide) She knew Kelly the promoter since they were young so Kelly asked her to do a Talk at the Historic Hotel with a rather lavish High tea.

Grey told me she had to have the painting of the girl and I agreed as her beautiful Auburn hair matched the theme of the painting .

Glad I’m not allergic to Wasp I slept with a hive in my trailer last night , one by one I shrewd them out didn’t kill not even one and I counted 10 that the Buddhist in me. It’s not fair just to kill them because you can !

Put on a screen in the door , went to the roof guy for my building then hung out with that boys for a bit, it’s gong to be nice !

It’s always somewhat nice to take a drive just not 1000 miles in a stressful truck after loading 2 booths by yourself.

This truck is not an easy one the wheels are to big same size as a Semi which means taller.

I’ll teach you something , you know all those Chinese Export Rose Canton , Rose Medallion? Right

Did you know those were used for Ballistics placed in the bottom of the Merchant Ships for weight so the boat wouldn’t roll over with all the tea on top.

The boats would leave Southern China en Route to Boston, Europe.

When I commercial fished there was a boat up in Washington I use to hang out on while in port .

the Captains wheelhouse was very hi up which meant a lot of motion out at sea. Like a Pendulum,the other 3 boats same make/ model sank they said.

I quit fishing later and heard that boat I use to hang out on ( the last of the 4) rolled over it was my friend’s boat.

My 24 ft Uhaul is way lower , has small wheels and drives fantastic and doesn’t not get teddy toddy.

Drove 1000 miles finally got to the motel in Houston to sleep they wouldn’t let me check in the truck was to big so I drive another 2 hr to Roundtop get in at 1 am take a shower and get stung by a wasp, I was so tired it didn’t phase me
