So here’s the story….

These past few months have been spent getting this little home ready for college visits and football weekends! What I didn’t know was that the inspiration for this home was going to create an unexpected escape from reality! I wanted a space that felt playful and collegiate, with boutique hotel vibes, perfect for visits to see our girl!

So here’s the story …

We came into this living space with the option to start from scratch, a total blank slate. However, the current white, long slung sofa and velvet blue chairs were in perfect condition, and knew we could use them as the starting pieces for a fabulous design.
The zellige tile was also in place, but removing it would have created a few snowball issues. So in order to balance out the weight of the thick, textured tile, we chose an equally weighted and textured grasscloth from to balance it out. We opted for a low profile frame TV that doubles as artwork and doesn’t overpower the gas insert, selected fabulous sconce lights and chandelier, and finished the windows with mock Roman shades , trimmed with tape that mimics the paper from . All anchored by one of my favorite nubby wool rugs that feels like a cable knit sweater underfoot from .
This living room is now worthy of my client’s beautiful home…stay tuned as we update the lounge and sunroom!

So here’s the story…

This living room really gets “lived in”, so not only was it needing a major glow up, but function and fabrics that would perform under stress!
We wanted to create a family centered area where lots of lounging could occur, so we decked the space out with the largest sectional it could hold, in a slip covered performance fabric.
The large waxed leather ottoman (another great performer!) is 45”x45” and flips up for hidden storage.
We then created an additional seating area by reupholstering our client’s swivel chairs in another super comfy performance fabric, and we added a little something-something to the base with a striped trim detail.
The stars of the show are the tall arched glass door cabinets at the end of the room that help add some height, weight and architectural interest.
We painted everything (ceiling/trim/crown/doors/casings) in 2 shades of rich blue-green that immediately make the room feel cozy and inviting.
We adore the way this room turned out!

So here’s the story …

My clients live in a beautiful, traditional stone center hall colonial (the kind you oooohhh and aahhhh over when you drive past it).
I was tasked with redefining the living room from formal to fun. They envisioned an adult space where they could enjoy music, host friends by the fire and enjoy a drink. Dark and moody was the main idea.
Working around the beautiful grand piano, we started with a floor plan that allows for cozy conversations, with the fireplace as the focal point. We balanced the height of the piano on one side with the extra tall wing chairs mirroring the height on the other side. We added in a stunning marble disk chandelier to contrast with the deep blue wallpaper, and gloss finished millwork (notice we didn’t forget to address the 5th ceiling!) Sleek picture lighting highlights a gallery wall of their family history and the built in bookcases now showcase their beloved treasures they’ve collected over the years in a curated way.

There is nothing more rewarding for me than to create spaces that bring joy and celebrate the way people want to live life in their homes.

Here’s a little sneak peak of an installation we wrapped up yesterday, in one of those homes you drive past all of the time and admire it for its timeless beauty (insert audible “gah”😍 ).
The design of this living room was all about creating a moody modern vibe, while incorporating all of my client’s vintage and beloved treasures.
The result is a room that celebrates all of their favorite things, while being able to enjoy doing all of their favorite things!

So here’s the story …

Can you make our basement feel like, not a basement?
Here, the key was lots of warm, but light upholstery selections in the custom sectional and ottoman and a fun wallpaper that has lots of movement, but is equally subtle in color. The wall to wall carpet is one of my go to favorites installed by and my go to painters knocked this color scheming job out of the park!
Styling the bedroom on installation day was all about making it super cozy, but not breaking the bank, so bedding and accessories in there by and the target line.

A basement will always be a basement, but so happy we could turn this one into a space my sweet client and her family will want to hang out in!

So here’s the story …

This primary bathroom had a great layout and a lot of space but needed a BIG update. Keeping the footprint the same, we started with a GORG creamy marble-look-a-like tile on the floor and shower wall. We used white oak cabinetry with tons of storage and a center tower with hidden outlets that don’t crowd the
real-deal-marble water jet tile on the vanity backsplash. Added in a pretty soaking tub and sprayed her in a dreamy blue! The adjacent makeup room (talk about dreamy!) picks up the tub’s color in the wallpaper.
Guys, this one is prettty pretttty good!

So here’s the story…

At the core every homeowner’s wish is to have their house feel like a home.

Sometimes it’s especially hard in new(er) construction, when spaces are open and flow into eachother for homeowners to figure out -
“We’ll how the heck do we make all of the openness feel cozy giving each space its own identity and function?”

Here’s what we did:
By defining each space with appropriate sized area rugs, and lighting, then adding in furniture that creates space for conversation and relaxation, adding in a beautiful custom table with cozy banquette seating that can accommodate 10-12 people, offsetting the back wall with textured wallpaper for a little color and then using tones of that same color as a grounding point in the living room area, we turned this big open space to one that now is warm and cozy, is clearly defined and has major personality!

Mission : let’s make this house a home - ACCOMPLISHED✅
