Day One at High Point Market!!

What a way to kick things off! A day full of inspiration, education, and a little hands-on experience!

Started the day with Sherwin-Williams, then headed to Huntington House for a behind-the-scenes look at the craftsmanship that goes into making their chairs. I even got to jump in as an assistant! 🪑

Next up, Fritz Rugs for an education on their beautiful products, followed by stops at Theodore Alexander and Revelation by Uttermost for some serious design inspiration!

One of my favorite things about High Point is getting to learn the stories, materials, and craftsmanship behind the pieces we bring into our clients’ homes. Beautiful design is about so much more than what meets the eye!

Day One in the books, and I’m just getting started! 🥂

Last year, I went looking for beautiful furniture… and came home with so much more. ✨

POV: You thought becoming an interior designer meant picking out pretty things all day.

Turns out it’s equal parts creativity and technical know-how…space planning, measurements, scale, specifications, problem solving, budgets, installations…and yes, plenty of paint samples and pretty things too.

Some days I’m designing beautiful rooms. Some days I’m on the floor with a tape measure. Usually, it’s a little bit of both.

But building a business doing something I genuinely love?

Kinda chic.
