My name is Michelle and I live in a small town in Western Pennsylvania. I've been happily married for over 25 years and have two amazing kids - both in college. My family has always been very supportive when I've wanted to add something creative to my life as an outlet from the day-to-day. April of 2020 I started making masks for all of my co-workers once the orders came down that we all had to we

ar them as part of our job. Over the years, the side hustle has grown to include more handmade items such as poured soaps, wax melts, and candles. I've added other sewn items such as horse tail bags and keychains, and vinyl decals. I've expanded to more customized pieces with 3D pet wall art and will be doing more customized keychains/bag tags now that I've added a CO2 laser to my craft room! I've recently added three 3D printers to my craft room! In 2025 I was awarded the Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Grant and used it to purchase my third 3D printer. September 29th, 2025, along with a fellow crafter, I opened up my first retail craft shop in my hometown! I'm at PolkaFest this weekend! New to the tent - bird feeders and hand painted greeting cards and bookmarks. Cat's Meow, LLC (My Dad) paints watercolor and has been making lots of this stuff. I hope they'll be a big hit!

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

I'm hurt, angry, saddened.

Violence continues here in Moxham and I can't blame people for not wanting to take part in the good things that are happening in our little Creative Collective we have here on Village Street and Grove Avenue. I've unfortunately postponed my first craft event for now and it's upsetting.

Please don't forget about us. Buy online, attend events we participate in, message us to let us know we're not forgotten!

If you pray, please pray that minds can be changed to dialogue rather than violence, that our leaders can really make a difference and solve these problems, and that we will not allow fear to change us.

Regardless of what municipality you reside, reach out to our city government with your words in a letter, email, or direct message. It's one thing to say "Enough is enough." We need to make sure we are holding those who can make these decisions accountable. These problems did not develop overnight and will continue until real action is taken by our elected leaders.
