I've been a little bit slack on posting lately and for that I apologize! We just finished this beautiful farmhouse hutch that's painted in a vintage green, lightly distressed with walnut stain. Such a pretty piece!

It didn’t take long to realize I wasn’t going to be able to sell this piece because I fell in love immediately. It’s around 100 years old and the finish on it was so dried out you could literally scrape it off with your fingernails. The entire center of it was not attached so it was about to fall apart. With a little work it’s once again structurally sound. I felt like it should be painted because it was going to sit in front of this wall but I couldn’t bring myself to cover this old wood because it is so pretty. So I sanded the old finish off, left the wood natural, and sealed it. Hopefully it’ll be around for another 100 years...
