1. I don’t watch HGTV. Ever.

2. I don’t assess the houses of friends or family unless they’re paying me to do so.

3. I don’t shop at big box stores for decor. Not personally or for clients.

4. I don’t love decorating. Construction and design are my bread and butter.

5. I don’t follow other designers on social media—my ideas are my ideas, I’m not trying to absorb what others are doing.

6. I don’t stray from my lane. Architects exist for a reason. GC’s exist for a reason. Decorators exist for a reason. I’m honest about my skillset and will never pretend to be capable of more.

We’ve been cooking up something special at Cedar & Stone—the cutest little nursery! And here’s the kicker, it’s for ME 😍 I’ll be bringing a new team member into the world early 2027 and I could not be more thrilled.

What does that mean for Cedar & Stone? I’ll still be working my magic in the new year, but with my current workload, I’ll only be taking on 2-3 new construction or gut renovation clients.

Tile should be looked at as a permanent material selection. It’s expensive to purchase. It’s expensive to install. It’s expensive to demo.

It’s important that you are educated in what selection you are making because it’s not something most people can afford to replace regularly. How will the material age? How does it hold up in a specific space? Does it need to be sealed? How will it be installed?

If you plan to tackle a project involving tile, let’s chat. Tile is an investment and should be treated as so.

A little about me and why Cedar & Stone is different.

I’m Brie, the owner and designer behind Cedar & Stone. And while my work today is rooted in residential design, my experience goes far beyond the typical four walls of a home.

Over the last decade, I’ve worked across luxury residential, hospitality, retail, and multifamily design. Spaces that each taught me something completely different about how people live, gather, shop, work, and experience a space.

That perspective is a big part of what makes Cedar & Stone what it is.

I’m not interested in simply making a room pretty. I think about the way a space functions, the details you notice years later, how materials will age, how lighting changes the mood, how a floor plan affects the way a family lives, and how all of those tiny decisions come together to make a home feel like you.

And when we get to the aesthetic, Cedar & Stone isn’t about chasing whatever is trending. It’s about layering old and new, refined and unexpected, collected and custom. We're creating interiors that feel personal, timeless, and a little bit unlike anything else.

There are plenty of talented designers out there. What I bring to the table is a pretty unusual combination of well-rounded industry experience and a very specific point of view.

I think you should be able to tell who designed a Cedar & Stone space without seeing the name attached to it. Functional. Effortlessly Layered. Unapologetically Unique.
