This Decoration season has pushed us harder than any season before.
We took on more orders than we probably should have because we genuinely wanted to accommodate our customers and help as many families as possible honor their loved ones.
What many people don’t see behind the scenes is that most of our staff is experiencing their very first Decoration season. They are learning during one of the busiest, most emotional, and highest-pressure times a flower shop can face.
And while customers are important to us, our employees and their families matter too.
You never truly know what someone is carrying while they show up to work every day. One employee may be here because staying busy is helping her survive something heavy at home. Another may be carrying immense pressure after constant criticism while still trying her absolute best. Some are missing time with their children and families just to make sure orders are completed.
We are human beings before we are workers.
Have we been perfect? No. We are learning and growing every single day. But we have worked tirelessly, lost sleep, missed family time, and poured our hearts into making sure families had flowers for Decoration.
And despite the challenges, we have yet to miss a Decoration.
We have absolutely cried behind the scenes when we felt like we let down the people who depend on us. Because this is not “just flowers” to us. These arrangements represent memories, grief, love, tradition, and people who are deeply missed. We understand the weight of that responsibility, and we carry it heavily.
When mistakes or delays happen, please know it hurts us too. We care deeply. Probably more than most people realize.
We are incredibly thankful for the customers who have shown kindness, patience, encouragement, and grace this season. Those words matter more than you know.
Please remember that behind every arrangement is a tired human being trying their best. Grace costs nothing, but it can mean everything to someone carrying more than you can see. 🤍
