A little personal note from me as we head into a new season at Surcee. 🤎
Long before we poured our first candle, Surcee began as an idea I spent more than a year dreaming about, researching, creating and figuring out - one little detail at a time. Eventually, I invited Shannon to take the leap with me, and together we brought Surcee to life.
What started as a little setup in my home eventually became our studio, and I will always be incredibly proud of what we created and how much I learned along the way.
But sometimes the season that gave you the idea isn’t the same season you’re meant to stay in forever.
After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to step away from Surcee. My kids are at ages where I’ve realized I want (and need) to be more available to them. These years are moving far too quickly, and right now, being their mom is where I want more of my time and energy to go.
Surcee will continue on with Shannon, and I truly hope you’ll continue to support her and the business as it moves into its next chapter.
To everyone who bought a candle, shared a post, came to a market, hosted a pour party, carried Surcee in your shop, trusted me to create something special for your business, or simply encouraged me along the way, thank you. Truly. You helped turn something I imagined into something tangible, and I’ll always be grateful for that.
I’m leaving this chapter proud of what I created, grateful for what I learned, and very much looking forward to whatever I decide to dream up next.
