How has your Summer been? 🛟🌞⛱️
Tell me ALL about it in the comments, I want to hear how it's been!
My summer has been a rollercoaster to say the least...🎢 So I'll fill you in on the details!
You may have noticed, but if you hadn't seen it yet, I changed my username from "Lady LaDuke Co." to "The Baker's Burrow"!
I'd been playing with this idea for awhile and it finally seemed like the right time for a change! ❤️
I moved, yet again! 😅 This time, I moved back to Utah to be with my family where I grew up! Don't worry if you can't keep up with all the places I've moved recently, I can barely keep up myself!
In the last few years, I've lived in Southern Utah > Texas > Michigan > and now back to Northern Utah! 📦🚚😵‍💫
I'm newly single. ❤️‍🩹 I debated whether or not I should share this, but I really wanted to be authentic and honest.
I wanted to share, that despite the bright colors and candy you see me talk about most often, life isn't always rainbows and sunshine. Even in the summer when it should be! 🌈☀️
I sincerely hope that your summer has been filled with beautiful happiness, peace, and delicious food! And if it hasn't, you can share that too! I want you to know that you are safe, at my table!

Here's the final look at the Barbie Patchwork Pinafore I made! 🪡🩷👗
I wanted something special to wear to the Barbie Movie Opening Night, and I recently moved into an old cottage with tons of vintage fabric from the woman who used to live there! 🏡
So I picked through the stache of fabric and found a handful of patterns that looked like they would fit on the Barbie theme!
I've been dabbling in sewing for awhile and I've made many skirts and some dresses, but the bodices never seem to fit after a year!
So I set out to make a bodice that would grow with me, and after a few attempts, taught myself how to shirr fabric!
Shirring fabric is the machine equivalent of smocking, and it gives the fabric bounce and elasticity! 🙌
I took extra care, and also taught myself how to interlock raw edges to reduce fraying and wear! I never knew that you could interlock using a standard zig-zag stitch, it was awesome!
After a few weeks of dedication, I was able to produce the biggest, bounciest, and most durable dress I've ever made!
I'm so proud of every step I take to learn and continue to create a life that is fulfilling to me! It's such a treat to love what you create! 🩷

Princess Peach's Peach Cream Soda! 🍑🥤
Here is the last flavor of the Nintendo themed Italian Soda recipes I developed!
I personally believe that I saved the best for last, because this Peach recipe is my favorite out of the three! 🍄
These drinks were so fun to develop and produce, I hope that you can have as much fun making them! ❤️
