Our Story

Fibromyalgia led me to explore my sewing creativity.

In late 2010, I began having the symptoms of dizziness, migraines, and muscle pain. I had been a salon owner for 14 years. My career was set, or so I thought. As the symptoms got worse, I felt trapped. I love being creative. I was given a rice pack to see if it helped the intense pain I was experiencing. Microwave, moist heat therapy became my thing. Wanting to share relief for other sufferers, Rice Pack Lady was born. I have since added an embroidery machine to my collection. Her name is Ruby, my birthstone. Ruby and I have had hours of fun making patches, quilt blocks, project sew-outs and much more.
