Coming up on 8 years...that's how long Paint Paradise has been around. I remember very clearly my first painters, I breathed such a sigh of relief. There were some days I'd get no painters, and I would ask myself if I made the wrong decision to open it. A memory that really sticks out is when I had a completely full studio from open to close, what an awesome feeling that was. Closing the studio was the right decision for me even though I miss it, and I know lots of you do too. Mobile studio has been nothing short of amazing, I've been to so many new towns I'd never been to, and the appreciation of all the small town folks for me going to them instead of having to drive to Kearney, it's really heart warming. I'm very proud of the business I've built from the ground up, it wasn't easy. There were times I wanted to quit, but I loved it so much I just couldn't let myself do that.
February 1st, I'm going to start watching my granddaughter full time (who could say no to making memories every day with your grandchild, I sure couldn't.) I feel like I'm moving into the Fall season of my life. I've contemplated keeping the pottery business on the side and just have a couple of events a month, but I just don't think that's fair to everyone who loves to paint pottery. So, I'd like to "hand over the paint brushes" to someone else.
If this is something you'd seriously be interested in, send me a message. If you want a job that doesn't feel like a job, then this would be right up your alley. You just have to promise to love the customers as much as I do 😭 The wonderful people I've met throughout the years is what I love about this business the most.
If I don't end up turning it over to someone else, I will continue to do this as a side business. You just won't see me as much as you do now. It's a turn key business, and remember, I had never seen a kiln in real life until I started this...ZERO experience. I'd do everything in my power to train you to be successful. Interested? Let me know!
