This was a fun project for a coworker of Allie who had an old dining room table from their childhood. Their family wanted heirlooms from the table. I made 18 picture frames, leaving the old finish and patina on the faces of the frames. I also made two cutting boards using the maple from the table and added some walnut and cherry for looks.

3 Live edge end tables and 2 clocks
They are hand crafted from maple burl wood. Burl wood comes from a growth on a tree that creates a unique grain and color pattern. Making it highly prized by wood workers. These pieces are also enhanced with black resin to fill in voids and cracks. They are finished with a durable top coat - creating a smooth glass finish. The table legs are made of sturdy steel with adjustable bases.
