And that’s a wrap…thank you to all our Gwinnett customers for your support over the past 20 years in Buford, and 14 years in Duluth before that. Many of you stuck with us the whole 34 years, and we love you for that. Our hearts are broken that we had to close this location, but hope you’ll visit our remaining three locations—Kennesaw, Marietta and Canton, whenever you’re on that side of town. The fall bird migration is in progress! Last night, there were an impressive 242 million estimated birds that started their journey south. They were flying mostly due south at about 30 mph, around 2,000 feet above the ground. The winds will be ideal for a more moderate night of migration tonight in the Great Lakes region, and there will likely be another push of birds late in the work week behind another cold front. September is the peak month for the fall bird migration, so these are just the "early birds." The Baltimore Oriole is one of many bird types starting to end their summer stay.

It’s the final weekend our Buford location will be open for business. Luke and Amanda are there, so stop by and say goodbye. We still have a good amount of Cole’s seed, some hummingbird and tube feeders and lots of hardware left. Our hours are 10am-6pm today and 12-5pm tomorrow. 😢

Buford customers—we have moved out a LOT of merchandise this week (this location is closing permanently on 8/23/26). But, we did get one more Cole’s delivery this week, so come stock up while you have the chance! 🥺

Indigo Buntings are one of the most common songbirds we see in our yards during Spring and Fall migration (which has already started). Watch for them at your feeders over the next three months. They love white millet and sunflower seed, so if you use Cole’s Blue Ribbon or Blazing Hot Blends, you’re all set! Females and immature males are brown, and often tinged with blue. 💙🤎
