We hope your table was shared with loved ones, with enough food to fill your belly and laughter to fill your soul.

I am are especially grateful this year for the team who carries this studio. Everyone in our studio brings their own personality, skills and sense of humor to the studio, and when the job feels stressful or the week feels long, I find myself ever grateful for them.

Madalyn, I am especially grateful for all of your experience, zen and calm, but also for your laughter and new adventures. ✨️

Haley, you're hard working, joyful and I'm always glad that you can actually use social media, remember to take photos and try to teach me something in the process! 😅

Andrew, you may still be the "new" team member, but we see your fun side coming out more and we'd currently be buried under a pile of boxes without you! 📦

Brian, you've been around long enough to know the crazy of us designers and you've managed to find a way to keep us all organized. Thanks for bringing structure to our chaos.... okay mostly MY chaos. Also, you're a wonder for somehow staying married to me, amidst it all. 😜

Sandy, I hope you know you'll always be a part of this team - you can't get rid of us. We wish you luck on your new adventure, but you'll always be a part of our story and team. Your attention to detail is beyond - also, thank you for bringing Bluebeam and Revit to our studio. 💛

A mentor once told me a piece of advice that I still utilize everytime I'm on a job site.

Say "hello" to everyone you cross paths with. Electricians, plumbers, framers, roofers, landscapers, masons - anyone working on your project.

Not only is it just decency and kindness, but these people are all experts at what they do and your design is in their hands.
It's not just about "making nice", it's about learning something from them, and building a relationship.

Our trades people in construction and in custom millwork and furniture are some of my favorite people. They all have a zone of wisdom and I'm always able to learn something new about the way they work, and why they do things the way they do.

In the end, it makes me a better designer because I'm more informed; which means better project outcomes for our clients too!

You're Invited!
Join us on May 31st from 10am-3pm for a Studio Sale!

We're clearing out our warehouse to make room for what's next and new; that means you get to shop from our curated selection of furniture and decor!

We'll be outdoors, with a back-up indoor setup, in case of rain! Look for the white tent and sign out in front of the building to direct you!

We will have refreshments and the playground will be open, so you can bring the kids along too!

Five years ago today I was laid off from my interior design job and went from being a side gig making and selling candles, custom pillows, refinished vintage decor/furniture and redesigning nonprofit agencies and startup ventures, to a full time design studio.

Pretty grateful to do this with clients we truly enjoy working with. Also.... a lot has happened in five years 🤪

This is a story about a project with the "right" clients.
Occasionally clients will find us who appreciate our approach, challenge us with something new, trust the vision and we just "sync up". This beloved Haddonfield home had new owners with a fresh view on charm and a taste for something other than the usual recipe. Relocating from California back to the East Coast after starting a family, they were looking for a little New England charm mixed with California Coastal Modern, with a dose of Arts & Crafts, against the backdrop of a beautiful historic home and with all the needs of a young family. The previously renovated 80s mudroom, kitchen and dining room were removed and we recreated something warm, welcoming and charming.

Designers will sometimes tell you that our projects can become our children. We pour everything we have into them. But usually that pouring out ends once they are sparkling ✨ and finished. Sometimes that's it, we walk away, we send them off and we never really see them again. But for me, I can't usually let them go so easily, especially when the food is this good.... so my design child will always be one I come back to. It was also my first hospitality project under , so there's that too! 😜❤
