5 things you didn’t know about wedding florals:

1️⃣ Your flowers are chosen by season, not just color. Peonies only bloom for a few weeks in late spring. Out-of-season stems can cost 2-3x more and arrive less fresh. Designing around what’s in season gets you more flowers for your budget.

2️⃣ Heat and humidity can wilt a bouquet in hours. Delicate blooms like sweet peas and hydrangea struggle at a summer outdoor ceremony. Hardy picks like zinnias, dahlias, and roses hold up all day.

3️⃣ Greenery is the secret to a full look. Eucalyptus and ruscus add volume at a fraction of the cost of extra blooms. It’s how a florist makes a modest budget look lush.

4️⃣ Your ceremony flowers can work twice. Arches, aisle arrangements, and pedestal pieces can move to the reception. You get double the impact without paying for double the flowers.

5️⃣ Timing matters more than you’d think. Flowers are cut, conditioned, and arranged days ahead. Booking your florist early locks in the best stems before other couples claim them.
