Positive Tate Monday 💌
Dearest Crafty Reader,
Sometimes the sweetest little creative question is not, “What should I make?” but rather, “What would I love to receive?”
A card in your favorite colors. A sentiment that would make you smile. A little extra sparkle. A design that feels warm, thoughtful, and completely you.
There is something rather lovely about creating from that place.
So this week, make the card you would be delighted to find waiting in your own mailbox.
Chances are, someone else would be delighted by it too.
with upmost sparkle and sincerity,
Positive Tate

**Crafty Weekend Tip - Stamp Sentiments Twice**

Before you clean off your sentiment stamp, stamp it one extra time on a second piece of cardstock. That backup can save the day if your first sentiment smudges, stamps unevenly, or suddenly needs to be moved because the layout changed.

It is a tiny step that keeps the crafty fun going and gives you a just-in-case piece ready to use.

Do you stamp backup sentiments, or do you usually cross your fingers and hope for the best?

**Crafty Weekend Tip - Stamp Sentiments Twice**

Before putting your sentiment stamp away, stamp it one more time on scrap cardstock. Having a backup sentiment ready can save your project if the first one smudges, stamps crooked, or needs a different placement.

It is such an easy way to protect your crafty time and keep your handmade card moving forward.

Are you a backup sentiment stamper, or is this going on your crafty checklist?

**Crafty Weekend Tip - Stamp Sentiments Twice**

Before cleaning your sentiment stamp, stamp a second one just in case. A backup sentiment can help if the first one smudges, stamps unevenly, or does not quite fit where you planned.

It is a simple trick that can save time and help your card come together with less stress.

Do you usually stamp an extra sentiment?

**Crafty Confession Wednesday: Too Pretty to Use 💕**

Please tell us we are not the only ones who have a stash of patterned paper so pretty we just can’t bring ourselves to cut into it. 😂 We admire it, pet it a little, move it from pile to pile, and promise ourselves we’ll use it for something *really special* one day.

Until then, it gets to stay safe and beautiful in the craft room a little longer. 💗

What crafty supply do you save because it feels *too pretty to use*?

Dearest Crafty Reader,

There are some ideas that arrive quietly and are almost shooed away before they ever get the chance to become something lovely.

Perhaps they seem too different. Too simple. Too strange. Too “what if this doesn’t work?”

But sometimes the very idea you almost set aside is the one with the most sparkle tucked inside it.

So before you talk yourself out of trying that color combo, that layout, that stamp set pairing, or that crafty little experiment whispering for your attention — give it a chance.

It just might be the best idea of all.

Positive Tate

Have you ever made a project you almost talked yourself out of?

**Crafty Weekend Tip - Use Scrap Strips**

Before tossing those leftover paper strips, try turning them into a background on your next handmade card. Layering scraps is a fun way to stretch your supplies, add color and pattern, and create something beautiful from pieces you already have on your crafty table.

It is an easy little trick that feels creative, resourceful, and so satisfying when those tiny leftovers become the star of the project.

Do you save your paper scraps for future cards, or are you trying this tip for the first time?

**Crafty Weekend Tip - Use Scrap Strips**

Tiny scraps can make big backgrounds. Instead of setting those leftover strips aside, try layering them into a card background for a quick and creative way to use what you already have.

It is such a fun way to reduce waste, stretch your supplies, and give your handmade cards extra charm.

Do you have a stash of scraps waiting to be used?

**Crafty Weekend Tip - Use Scrap Strips**

Don’t overlook those leftover paper strips. Small scraps can be layered together to create beautiful backgrounds and add extra pattern, texture, and color to your handmade cards.

It is a simple tip, but it is a great way to make the most of your supplies and turn leftovers into something special.

Do you like using paper scraps on your projects?

You Inspire Me 🎨

Meg’s card is such a sweet and simple way to feature the Crafty Mice 4x6 Stamp Set. We love how the Party Polka Dot 6x6 Stencil adds soft background detail while still leaving plenty of clean white space. The crafty mouse image and tiny sentiment make this handmade card feel encouraging, creative, and full of charm.

**Crafty Confession Wednesday: Organized Instead of Crafting 😂**

Please tell us we’re not the only ones who have sat down fully intending to make something… and somehow ended up reorganizing ink pads, straightening paper, sorting embellishments, and relabeling bins instead. 😂 There’s just something wildly satisfying about a tidy crafty space, even if the actual crafting gets pushed to “later.”

And honestly, a freshly organized craft room still feels like a win in our book. 💕

Have you ever spent your crafting time organizing supplies instead of actually making a project?

Dearest Crafty Reader,

There is a rather rude little myth that says progress only counts when everything is finished, tied up neatly, and looking terribly impressive.

I do not care for that myth one bit.

A half-colored image, a card base waiting for its sentiment, a project paused mid-sparkle — these things are not failures. They are proof that you showed up, made something, and moved your idea forward.

Progress can be tiny.
Progress can be messy.
Progress can still be progress.

So if your project is not finished yet, please do not let that steal your joy. You are still creating something beautiful, one lovely little step at a time.

with upmost sparkle and sincerity,
Positive Tate

**Crafty Weekend Tip - Dry Fit First**

Before reaching for the glue, take a minute to lay out your pieces and see how everything works together. Shifting layers, moving embellishments, and testing placement first can help your handmade card feel more balanced and can save you from those “oops” moments later.

It is such a simple habit, but it makes the creative process feel smoother and a whole lot less stressful.

Do you dry fit your pieces before gluing, or do you like to wing it as you go?

**Instagram Caption**

**Crafty Weekend Tip - Dry Fit First**

Before the glue comes out, try arranging your layers and embellishments first. A quick dry fit gives you a chance to move things around, test your spacing, and make sure your design feels just right before anything becomes permanent.

It is an easy little step that can save time, supplies, and crafty frustration.

Are you a dry-fit-first crafter, or do you glue as you go?

**Crafty Weekend Tip - Dry Fit First**

Before gluing down your card pieces, try laying everything out first. Testing your layout ahead of time can help you adjust spacing, move embellishments, and create a more balanced handmade card.

It is a quick tip, but it can make a big difference in how smoothly your project comes together.

Do you like to dry fit your designs before you commit?
