We recently needed the assistance of a plumber. The handle broke off, I was out of town.
My friend who was minding the shop called her plumber.
Now let me just say that I am grateful they showed up that day. But, it took 2 hours at 147.50 per hr. for a to replace the valve with the boss supervising. The toilet was not 'running on' prior to this.
They claim that the seal between the tank and bowl were shot, therefore the toilet had to be rebuilt. It's a 5 yr old toilet.
You would think that, as a courtesy, the replaced parts would have been presented as evidence of the need for replacement. Nope. AND now the toilet 'runs on'. I hear it filling several times a day.
$369.00 to fix a toilet (not). I could have bought a new one for $100.
YES I called them. I expressed my concerns. He said his piece. When I began to respond he began to interrupt me. When I asserted my voice and went on to explain that he was responsible for fixing the new leak they caused, he hung up on me.

Yesterday a customer purchased 2 HD Tee shirts here and later someone walked in the door and said they found that customers bag with the receipt sitting in the street. I don't have her name. Don't even know if she's local. But if anyone knows a woman who bought two HD tees and now can't find them have her call us, please. 760-347-2239.
