The Jobsite Foreman is a critical leadership role responsible for the daily on-site management of electrical installations. This individual ensures that all field operations are executed according to blueprints, safety codes, and project schedules while maintaining clear communication between the General Contractor and the Project Management team.

Key Responsibilities

Communication & Coordination

GC Liaison: Communicate directly with the General Contractor’s Superintendent regarding daily site needs.
Internal Reporting: Maintain a direct line of communication with the Positive Electric Project Manager.
Meeting Representation: Attend weekly jobsite meetings and accurately record all scheduling requirements.
Information Management: Identify the need for RFIs and coordinate with the Project Manager to obtain necessary technical clarifications.
Technical Layout & Planning

Print Mastery: Gain a detailed understanding of jobsite prints, specifications, and the full scope of work.
Code Compliance: Utilize prints to create precise electrical layouts that adhere strictly to local and national codes.
Detailed Documentation: Create highlighted, unit-specific prints for house power and unit styles to guide the production team.
Mark-Out Oversight: Provide highlighted prints and Mark-Out and verify that all site mark-outs are completed accurately.
Materials & Logistics

Inventory Control: Create accurate material lists based on upcoming tasks.
Procurement Collaboration: Work directly with the Project Manager to review material lists before orders are placed.
Delivery Management: Accept material deliveries, verify quantities against packing slips, and maintain a highly organized material storage area.
Field Supervision & Quality Control

Crew Leadership: Direct Positive Electric employees and crews to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Manpower Planning: Collaborate with the Project Manager to determine and schedule necessary manpower and crew requirements.
Quality Assurance: Perform "Hot/Test Punch" inspections on all work completed by crews and internal staff to ensure zero defects.
Inspections: Proactively schedule all required electrical inspections with local authorities.
Qualifications & Skills

Expertise in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and submittals.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standard installation practices.
Proven ability to lead crews and manage subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.

This position would also require the ability to drive company vehicles from the warehouse or equipment stores to job sites. Your new career would include tasks such as: organizing materials, tools, and equipment in the warehouse; maintaining up-to-date lists of materials on hand and materials needed in the field in the near future; pick up materials from stores and deliver to the field job sites or return to warehouse; accurate record keeping of receipts, good communication skills.
