With a little help and advice from my friends at Blooms by Heartfelt, I completed my first memorial arrangement. Most of the flowers are from Windy Hill Farm, with some extras ordered in.

The flowers were for my beloved cousin, Tom Tracy. He will be remembered fondly. I miss him already.

Spent the day planting and finally starting to see the finish line! I even got both flower gardens weeded today! Yay! Here are a few photos from the weekend.

Well, I’m happy to say that after a long season off, and a somewhat frustrating but never boring spring, we are beginning to get some blooms.

I currently have several shades of delphinium available. Also blooming is the heavenly-scented old fashioned stock.
Veronica is beginning to bloom, and so are bronze snapdragons and yarrow.

I’m curious, would anyone be interested in some of my cut flower plugs? If I get enough interest, I’d be happy to pot some up for you. I can make a list with prices.

Please understand, some of these will be much smaller than the six pack plants that you purchase at the nurseries. But that’s ok, they’re just the right size to take off!

Also, what are you interested in? I usually direct sow quite a few things right into the soil, but if you’re looking for example, for cut flower zinnias, then let’s talk.

Turn the volume up so you can hear the baby chicks peeping inside their eggs. I imagine we will have some hatched by morning. This never gets old. ;)

Meet Sugar Plum foxglove. She won’t flower this year, but I haven’t had any luck planting her in the fall. So when she blooms next year, you can say you remember her when she was thiiiiiiis big. 🤪. Did that sound like a crazy plant lady talking?!
